Solo Care · One to four people
The whole of your IT, handled, without a seat minimum.
Solo Care is the managed IT list for a firm of one to four: the help desk, the patching, the monitoring, your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, multi-factor authentication enforced and endpoint protection on every machine. The same work a bigger firm buys, without the five-person minimum that puts it out of reach.
- Not a smaller product. The Essentials list apart from backup, which is why it is priced per person rather than discounted.
- Month to month, cancel any time. A cancellation runs to the end of the month you have already paid for rather than cutting it short. No setup fee, and one computer and one mobile per person included.
- A person who knows your setup. A quarterly check-in, and a tracked request that a person answers.
Five people or more? The managed plans are on the managed IT page.
The price and the list
What it costs, and what it is.
Included, on every person
- An unlimited remote help desk, by call, chat, text or email, with no per-ticket charge
- Patching for the operating system and the applications that actually get exploited
- Monitoring of the machines, the disks and what is about to break
- Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration: accounts, licences, groups and sharing
- Multi-factor authentication enforced, not offered
- Endpoint protection on every machine
- One computer and one mobile per person
- A quarterly check-in about what is coming
Not included, and said plainly
- Support is timed. About an hour of hands-on work a month, and time beyond that is billed at a rate agreed before we do it. On a managed plan the same support is not timed.
- No network infrastructure discovery at onboarding. That is the walk through what you run and how it is wired, and it belongs to the managed plans.
- Backup is an add-on, not included. It is included on the managed plans.
- Email security, phishing simulation and email authentication monitoring are the security layer add-on below, not part of Solo Care.
- Hardware and software you buy, the licences themselves, and projects: a migration, an office move, a rebuild. Quoted flat before the work starts.

$125 a month
$125 per person, for one person. Month to month, cancel any time, no setup fee.
Four is the most Solo Care covers. At five people the managed plans start, and they are the same list with backup included and support that is not timed: see the managed plans.
So we know who to ask for when we call.

Two add-ons
The same step a bigger firm pays to move up a tier.
Both are priced at the Essentials-to-Secure difference, so the upgrade costs the same whatever size the firm is. Neither is required and neither is sold on a call; they arrive in the written proposal after the review.
Security layer
Email security, phishing simulation and ongoing email authentication monitoring. It is what our Secure plan adds for a firm of five and up, priced at the same step here. The figure comes with the proposal after the review.
Backup · $10 per person per month
Your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace mail and files, backed up and restorable. Included on the managed plans; bought here.
Questions
Before you ask
Why is Solo Care the same price per person as a bigger firm pays?
Because it is the same work. A firm of four and a firm of five get the same list apart from backup, which is the $10 add-on here and included on the managed plans, and what the smaller firm does not have to meet is the five-person minimum. We would rather sell the same product without a minimum than sell a thinner one and call it a small-business plan.
Does Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace already back up our mail?
No, and this is the most common misunderstanding we meet. Their platform keeps your mail available; it is not a backup you can restore from after a deletion, a compromise or a departing employee clearing a mailbox. On Solo Care, backup is the $10 add-on. On the managed plans it is included.
What happens when we grow past four people?
You move to a managed plan, and it costs less per person rather than more. The managed plans start at five people, and at that point support stops being timed and onboarding includes a network discovery of what you run.
How much support is "about an hour a month"?
It is a guide to what this covers rather than a meter running against you. Small things are handled as they come up; when a month genuinely needs more hands-on work than that, we say so and the extra time is agreed with you before we do it rather than billed afterwards.
Do we have to leave our current IT person?
No. Plenty of this sits beside somebody who already helps you, and if you would rather move everything across we coordinate the handover instead of making you do it.
What do we take with us if we leave?
No notice period: you cancel whenever you like and it runs to the end of the month you have already paid for. The documentation, the credentials and the data are yours. The environment is documented for your benefit, not as leverage.
